It's been three and a
half months since I submitted Red
Shoes and A Diary.
Decided to be bold and call Harlequin. Ms. Chin
still has my manuscript and is looking it over. She
apologized for taking so long and said she'd try to get
back to me in the next few weeks. [crossed fingers] Here's
hoping for a Call in July.

The Doubt Devils are here to stay. Private
Dancer has
come to a screeching halt as well. I don't know what to
write. I don't want to waste time on a new Temptation
when I don't know how Ms. Chin likes the last one. Maybe
I'm going to be a one book wonder- and an unpublished
one at that.

Otherwise
Engaged
has gone nowhere after the first eight pages. Now
playing with the idea of a sequel to Red
Shoes,
giving two of the minor characters their own story.
Calling this one,
Private Dancer.
Hope it goes better than my last effort.

Got an idea for a new story, since everyone on the cata-romance
listserv suggested having another manuscript ready in case Ms.
Chin either buys or rejects Red
Shoes. I'm calling
this one Otherwise
Engaged. I've worked
out the characters and written the first eight pages.

Mailed the query letter, synopsis and complete manuscript of Red
Shoes and A Diary to
Harlequin Temptation. Yes, I did kiss it for good luck!

THE END.
Feels great to type that! Very pleased with final revisions on Red
Shoes
for now, but know the anxiety will set in any minute now. The
final manuscript is short- way short- for the Blaze line.
